We would like to create a video montage of targeted individuals testimonies.  This will be played at the conference but will also be put online after.  So please do not submit unless you consent to that.  You do not have to show your face or use your real name if you wish to remain anonymous, but can if you wish to come forward.

Please send a video testimonial to: dr.matthew.aaron@gmail.com

Please review the following instructions from Dr. Aaron:

People should be able to record short clips that are high quality and also less than 20 Megabyte. High quality is very important for portraying ourselves as credible, professional, upstanding, and productive members of society, so I would strongly encourage people to make the best video clips they can, paying close attention to focus, ambient lighting, camera steadiness, the clothes they're wearing, and how they speak. Diffuse natural light is always best. Whenever possible, they should use video recorders like those on the best cell phones (at the very least), or those on quality digital cameras or video cameras. If people have amazing video clips that are larger than 20 Mb, they can Dropbox them to me at this email address. If they really need to, they can even send me files on USB sticks. I'll provide my address if that becomes necessary.

I think everybody should express themselves in the individual ways that they want to. Some people may want to express strength and even happiness, in the face of great turmoil and abuse. But, I think it will be more powerful if many or most people really dig down deep into their feelings of indignation, suffering, and being tortured sadistically and violated greatly (on par with gang rape). If people have had tears over these violations (or emotion in their voices), I would encourage them to let that show (if genuine, of course). I would suggest keeping the messages on the short, short side. Information I think the broader public would be interested in is the following:

It doesn't need to be all of this information; they can just pick and choose what they want to say. These are just suggestions:

1. Something identifying but not necessarily too personal, like first name, or (if you don't want to give that) something like "I am a mother of three boys", "I am a nurse", "We are a retired couple", or "I am a college student". If you really don't want there to be any way of being identified, turn away from the camera (and film the back of your head) or wear sunglasses, a scarf, or a balaclava, but having many TIs who are ready to step up, speak in their own voice, and show their faces would be amazing. Whatever people are comfortable with.

2. A general idea of where you live or where you were targeted (if you don't still live there). Like city and state, or just the general region of the country, or the country (if outside the USA).

3. The year you were first targeted or the total number of years that you've been targeted.

4. A sentence or two on how you were targeted and how it has impacted your life and the lives of those around you.

5. A plea that you're asking the public to start listening to the victims, or that you're asking for the government, the medical profession, and law enforcement to finally start taking this issue seriously. Or possibly something like "I'm speaking out so that this crime doesn't grow to the point where it happens to you and your family."

6. Video shots including pets that are also targeted would also be great.

I would discourage people from making detailed statements of fact about the technology involved in their targeting. I would also discourage people from making claims about who is doing the targeting. The more powerful and believable message is the devastating consequence of being targeting.

Short videos are way more likely to be watched than long videos, and we should get as many different people into this montage as possible. Accordingly, I would suggest people limit their statements to a time range of 10 - 40 seconds each. You can say quite a lot in less than a minute, so nobody should really need to speak longer than 60 seconds. Let the video run a few seconds before you start speaking, so I'll have room to play with to trim the video clips to the right spots.

Thank you for your submission and contribution!
